		<description>I agree with your post.  It would be nice to make a conscious decision to where our tax dollars go.

I was thinking of something along the same lines.  However far-fetched, the idea was similar in that we could choose how to appropriate our tax dollars and to which causes i.e. infrastructure, national defense, education, etc. sort of like how we choose how to distribute our 401k money into different funds.  We could be given a "list" on our tax returns and the elements of this list could be decided by something like the survey that you posted about.

Since there's really no way around the new big-government "distributing the wealth" trend at the very least we could determine which things are deserving of our money.</description>
